Meet Our Doctors

William A. Arnold, MD :: Dr. Arnold enjoys camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, jogging and exploring the magnificent waters on the beautiful “emerald island” of Kodiak, Alaska with his wife and two children.

Dr. “Bill” Arnold graduated with his medical education in 2001 from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, ND, MD, completed six weeks at Oxford Rheumatology Research Centre and undergraduate from the North Dakota State University BS in Microbiology. Dr. Arnold finished medical training in Family Practice at Rapid City Regional Hospital Family Practice Residency where he provided both inpatient and outpatient care and gained experience in all areas of family medicine. He is currently the Kodiak Community Health Center’s Medical Director where he has held his position since December 2004. Dr. Arnold is a Gulf War Veteran having served in the United States Navy from 1989 to 1993. Bill considers himself to be a patient advocate and firmly believes in disease prevention. He speaks rudimentary Spanish, Norwegian and Tagalog. Tammy Holforty, PA – C :: Holforty and her husband Jared have three small children and enjoy exploring Kodiak together.

Tammy Holforty, PA – C is a Board Certified Physician Assistant who graduated from the University of Utah in 2003 with a Masters in Physician Assistant studies. She began her career in 1995 as a Navy Hospital Corpsman assigned to the Family Practice Clinic and Emergency Medical Technician Team then gained additional experience in an OBGYN clinic in Utah. After graduation she practiced in the field of Dermatology for four years in San Diego, CA where she performed extensive procedures including cryotherapy, incision and drainage of cysts, excision and punch biopsies and intralesional injections. She has performed many minor surgeries such as cyst and mole removals. Holforty and her husband Jared have three small children and enjoy exploring Kodiak together.
